This hot-swappable serial expansion module provides 8 additional serial interfaces to T500 HU280 units to communicate using serial protocols. Hot-swappable, redundant operation, individually configurable settings for each physical port. XS280 units are only accessible to HU280 units installed in the same backplane. Serial communications connectable via RJ45 connectors. The product dimensions are 45mm in width, 245mm in height and 180mm in depth. This device is compliant wtih IEC 61850-3. Insert into any T500 backplane slot to provide system control and communications functions. Fix in place via frontal screw.
