license, EcoStruxure Control Engineering, verification and documentation, perpetual, 50 programs
This software license is part of the EcoStruxure Control Engineering range, a set of software engineering tools for industrial automation, compatible with Schneider Electric and third-party PLCs and PACs. The tool Verification, formerly PLC Checker, is a static analysis tool. The tool Documentation, formerly PLC DocGen, is a reverse-engineering tool. CEGVADP50P is a perpetual license giving access to unlimited runs of both tools on 50 programs. For continued support and updates after first year, a 1 year support and updates license pack will have to be purchased from the second year onwards. The tool Verification enables users to easily analyze their control code against a set of programming rules to ensure conformity with good practices or a company/industry standard, and to manage their program quality and maintainability. The tool Documentation enables users to generate an up-to-date abstract representation of the program information based on what is contained in the source code for quick understanding. These tools are Software as a Service (SaaS) applications and support the five IEC 61131-3 languages and different types of PLC makes and models providing users one set of tools to use even with mixed installed bases. They are cloud-based applications that can be accessed from anywhere through a simple web browser and user login, meaning no installation required. A private server option is also available for users with strict security constraints. This software tool is intended for end users, system integrators, and original equipment manufacturers from any industrial sector, such as automotive, energy, food and beverage, packaging, water wastewater, manufacturing, infrastructure. The tool supports many PLC program types including EcoStruxure Control Expert and EcoStruxure Machine Expert, as well as from many other vendors. It helps improve productivity when it comes to managing the control software lifecycle, and thus helps reduce engineering time and costs during development and/or maintenance of the control applications. This tool based on GLIPS technology brings in software engineering techniques from IT and embedded software to industrial automation for formalized development processes like increased productivity, quality, efficiency, maintainability.
